Home-Start North Dorset is a Registered Charity that supports struggling families living in the North Dorset District. We are funded by Charitable Trust Funds, District and County Council Grants, donations and local fundraising, enabling us to provide this service at no cost to families and as such we are looking for an experienced Bid Writer / Fundraising Project Officer who can support us, with the acquisition of such funding.
If you have proven experience of sourcing funding through bid writing and the ability to produce compelling proposals to obtain funds, combined with experience of leading a team to organise and support fundraising initiatives then this could be your ideal job.
This varied role will use your creativity and organisational flair in the form of marketing of fundraising activities, working with press to lead the advertising and promotion of events, as well as providing hands on support at the events to ensure their success.
In this position you will also have a responsibility for ensuring all income and expenditure is accounted for so some accounting experience would be of use.
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic individual with excellent research, and written & verbal communication skills. Along with a confident, people orientated person who can build relationships and has a strong sense of community.
It is essential that applicants have experience of Bids and Tenders as well as general fundraising experience.
