New Business and Account Management Exec

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced consultative sales professional to head up New Business and Account Management activities for a leading Midlands developer of customised business management software.

The successful candidates will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects and managing the end to end sales process. You will be undertaking lead generation, forecasting, prospecting and driving opportunities to closure.

This is a client centric role where you will use your communication skills to cultivate trusted advisor relationships with clients, from first contact until you close the deal and will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts.

You will need to have an entrepreneurial mindset, able to work autonomously and proactively to cultivate relationships from scratch with new clients whilst also developing existing accounts through offering bespoke solutions that solve customers' problems.

If you are an aspiring salesperson, looking for a rewarding career move, focused on quality sales rather than quantity then this is the role for you.

Ideally you will have a background in IT Sales more specifically Software based sales where there is an element technical knowledge required and an some project management. You should have a good understanding of commercial business activities and functions to be able to identify potential clients needs and understand general commercial business processes and to be able to offer software solutions.

Key skills required:

  • Strong commercial acumen to build a business case which delivers a return on investment for your clients
  • Honed communication skills able to probe and question to identify underlying issues, and deliver bespoke solutions
  • Relationship Builder -build sincere relationship with clients particularly senior executives and decision makers
  • Consultative Selling - naturally curious, interested in people, their business and their challenges with a solution focussed approach
  • Self-Management - ability to stay focused on priority tasks and to keep track of lead actions on a weekly basis.
  • You need to be structured, organized, systematic and disciplined
  • Strong Work Ethic - choosing to be energetic and proactive, you are a self-motivated achiever who is goal oriented and you openly display lots of tenacity, perseverance and drive.
  • Driver/car owner - though this is an office-based role it is client facing role where you will be meeting clients on a regular basis so there is a need for a Driver and Car owner with travel expenses being paid.
